What made you left your successful career behind and followed your spiritual path?

“I’ve been reading your posts recently and found it really it inspiring. I’m curious what made you left your successful career behind and followed your spiritual path. I myself just moved back to Vietnam after a long time in the States to look for something meaningful both in my career and spiritual life.”

A question I’ve got the other day…

Hi,

If you can read it or listen it in Vietnamese, you can somewhat find the reason I quitted my “entrepreneur” life in these two posts: Giải mã doanh nhân and A mindful leader – Nhà lãnh đạo hạnh phúc.

To make it short, actually, I don’t see much of the why… It was that the more I invest and practice Vipassana meditation, the more it would somehow “push” me out of the ordinary life style, to become better as a human being. That would happen naturally, I would say. And that’s the journey that each of us have to go through it by ourselves, by practicing mindfulness, not by reading and try to understand mindfulness from rationale…

My life now is quiet and I rarely come out to meet people. Yet, I’m quite active in sharing about what I know, what I experience and find out through posts on LinkedIn and Facebook and through my web site. You can find all of my thoughts and sharing there…

We can exchange here regarding spiritual development…

I would urge you to explore about Vipassana meditation and sit down, do it, if you haven’t done that yet. That’s the key for spiritual development journey. And that’s the only way… that can consistently bring you to the ultimate goal of a complete suffering cessation.
